Jason Chen

Ok so about my other post I guess I lied, I didn't have the time to update my blog because I worked so much! >.< But at least I'm updating now! :)

Yesterday Jason Chen came to Montreal to perform!! I was so excited because I have been following his music on youtube for awhile and I think he's totally awesome. I wasn't able to get VIP tickets since I bought my ticket pretty late so I was a bit sad but it's okay, I still saw him perform live ^^

The show started at 6:30 and had lots of other artists performing. They were pretty enjoyable but I think it was pretty obvious everyone came to see Jason Chen perform haha. Overall the show was really good but the only thing I was disappointed was that it was so short!! It barely lasted an hour and a half and Jason only performed about five songs and he didn't perform Tong Hua :( Oh and also I wanted to buy one of his shirts but they were all sold out from yesterday's show at Waterloo!

Anyway I had a nice night even though it was FREEZING cold (-25°C) We also had the chance to see an exclusive preview of his upcoming single and video coming out nxt month!

Next time, I hope David Choi comes to Montreal haha <3

Here's a video of him performing Bruno Mars - Grenade at yesterday's show.

Matsuri

Hey guys~ Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, I was just...lazy haha. So anyway, 2-3 weeks ago I went to the Matsuri Japan in the Old Port of Montreal. It was such a nice sunny day! But this year, the festival changed location because there's was some other thing at the place they usually do it and the place where they held it this year was so narrow! I kept bumping into people and it was like we were all squished in together. Adding to that was the freaking hot weather so it wasn't really pleasant. Besides that, the festival was enjoyable and there was lots of yummy food! I think this post will just be a pic spam lol!

Salmon Maki cone (Temaki)

Yakisoba

Okonomiyaki

Takoyaki

Everything we had was delicious!! My cousin also ate a kimchi j-dog but unfortunately I didn't take a picture =( But damn those things are huge LOL!

There was a lot of people that wore Yukata. I wanted to wear one but the line for renting was extremely longggg so I decided not to. Anyway it was wayyy to hot haha. I saw the cutest little girl with the cutest yukata!

Kawaii~

After that my cousins and I went to Chinatown to grab a bubble tea before heading home. It was a pretty nice day. Oh and I'm getting the hang of my new camera! It's so fun haha.

I'll try to post pictures of my weekend with friends at a chalet this week!

L'entoilage

Last Saturday, I went to this place called L'entoilage. It's like an Asian style coffee shop/lounge type of place and it's located in the middle of nowhere in Montreal. I heard about this place from a friend of mine and he told me they had Okonomiyaki...OMG! There's Okonomiyaki in Montreal! So I obviously HAD to check it out! The place is so cute! It has a nice simple modern decor and the owners are really nice. I didn't bring my camera with me so I took pictures with my phone ^^;;

Here is part of the menu. They offer different types of drink like coffees, lattes, bubble tea, tea, etc. Their menu consist of various types of wraps and sandwiches. Also available is the menu of the day which varies everyday; you can have Okonomiyaki, Korean BBQ, Tonkatsu, Bibimbap, etc. The dishes are mostly Japanese and Korean. Oh and not pictured are the dessert which looked DELICIOUS! But I was too full to try any of them =(

Anyway, I started off with a Milk Tea bubble tea which tasted great and not too sweet. Then I was served a japanese salad on shrimp crackers. These were so good! I absolutely loved it!

Entrée

Next, I got my main course which was a Squid Okonomiyaki. I was so happy I finally found a place that made Okonomiyaki in Montreal haha! The Okonomiyaki was delicious! It was light and fluffy and well made. I know it doesn't look that yummy in the picture but trust me, it was!

Okonomiyaki

Overall, L'entoilage is a nice place to grab lunch or just to chill and relax with friends. They just opened a few months ago so they're still building their clientele but I'm sure this place will get popular in no time. They offer a wide variety of food, drinks and desserts for an affordable price so what's not to like haha. I had a nice time there andI will definitely go back!

If you guys want to, you can check their facebook page here or their website at www.lentoilage.com

Spain for the win!

YES! Spain won the FIFA World cup this past Sunday! I'm so happy they finally got the grand title for the first time and they deserve it. It was a goal from Iniesta at the 116th in overtime that gave Spain their first ever World Cup trophy. When i saw the goaler Casillas tear up at the end of the game I couldn't help but feel a little emotional haha. Anyway with their victory it meant that I got myself a FREE PIERCING from Nezem!!! And I went today to get my conch pierced ^^ I won't lie, it did hurt and I bled quite a bit but I'm really happy I finally did it! I don't have any pictures right now but I'll show it off once it's less painful ^^;;

Viva España!!!

So you might not know but I'm a huge soccer fan! Especially during the FIFA World Cup! I've played for 5 years during part of my childhood and teenage years and I loved it. It also kept me in shape haha. Anyway I was rooting for the Asian teams (South Korea and Japan) but they only managed to pass the first round =( The other team I was rooting for was Spain! It's the team I really hoped would win the cup and I'm happy to see that they made it to the finals for the first time in their history!!! They're up against the Netherlands and I think Spain has good chances at taking it home ^^ David Villa has been playing really well and I hope Fernando Torres plays like the player he's supposed to be, he's not been playing as well as expected but oh well...he's major eye candy hehehe. The big finale is on Sunday so don't forget to tune in~

Another reason why I really want Spain to win is because I could get a free piercing! For you Montrealers, I don't know if you guys know the piercing shop Nezem (www.nezem.com) but I'm a fan of their Facebook page and they had a little bet saying that the people who could predict the winner of the World Cup would get a free piercing. Only my friend and I chose Spain so we're the only ones left! If they win we get a free piercing! How awesome is that?! If you guys are around that area (St-Denis street) go visit them! They're professional APP certified piercers and are really nice and friendly =)

COME FASTER SUNDAY I CAN'T WAIT!
